Please note that applying for a job may not always be easy, as new candidates must meet certain qualifications and requirements set by the company. We hope the career opportunity at SGX FX for the position of Liquidity Manager – FX / eFX, London Coverage below matches your qualifications.

About the role

SGX FX Markets operates CNODE, an anonymous FX aggregation and electronic trading venue. We are hiring a Liquidity Manager to own liquidity quality across the London trading session — starting in Singapore, with potential permanent relocation to London subject to business needs, role requirements, immigration eligibility and satisfactory performance.

This is a blended seat sitting between eFX trading, quantitative analysis and institutional relationship management. You will monitor and diagnose live liquidity behaviour, build the measurement that evidences what is happening, and hold the resulting conversations with liquidity providers and clients.

This role offers meaningful ownership and independence. You will make informed judgment calls in real time, prioritise issues appropriately, and operate with support from the wider team when escalation is required.

What you will do

  • Own liquidity quality across the London session: real-time pricing, fill and reject behaviour, spread stability and latency across the liquidity-provider panel.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues live — separating provider behaviour from venue, routing and connectivity causes — and escalate against defined thresholds.
  • Build and run performance measurement from raw trade and quote data using Python and SQL: markout, fill and reject analysis, net yield, toxicity and P&L attribution at provider and client level.
  • Hold evidence-based conversations with liquidity providers on pricing conduct, spread behaviour and last-look practice, consistent with FX Global Code principles.
  • Support pool admission, tiering and remediation decisions with analysis rather than anecdote.
  • Work with clients on liquidity performance questions arising in the London session, coordinating with Sales, who retain commercial ownership.
  • Produce structured written handover to the Singapore desk each session and maintain the team knowledge base.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Typically three to six years in eFX liquidity management, LP relationship management, eFX trading, or quantitative and analytical support to an eFX desk — at a venue, ECN, aggregator, bank eFX desk or non-bank market maker — or equivalent relevant capability.
  • Working knowledge of FX market microstructure: aggregation, last look, sweep and routing logic, LP configuration, markout methodology.
  • Demonstrable Python and SQL capability applied to market or execution data. You will be asked to present and defend your own work — see below.
  • Evidence of managing work end-to-end with appropriate independence, judgment and escalation when required.
  • Self-accountability and resilience, with the ability to respond constructively to feedback and follow through on agreed improvements.
  • Sound escalation judgment, and the ability to articulate your own thresholds.
  • Clear, structured written communication — you hand your session to colleagues who were not there.
  • Ability to work effectively during evening hours, including when working remotely, and to manage responsibilities productively with appropriate independence.
  • Interest in potential permanent relocation to London, subject to business needs, role requirements, immigration eligibility and satisfactory performance.

Advantageous

  • Venue or platform-side experience as distinct from bank-side.
  • FIX connectivity; LD4 and NY4 infrastructure and latency concepts.
  • Prior unsocial-hours or cross-region coverage experience.
  • FX Global Code implementation, TCA methodology or execution-quality reporting.

The shift and the move started plainly

  • Approximately 15:00–00:00 SGT, Monday to Friday, covering the London open through the New York overlap. Part of the shift is home-based.
  • The role may relocate permanently to London, subject to business needs, role requirements, immigration eligibility and satisfactory performance. Any relocation timing and criteria should be confirmed in writing at offer stage.
  • Late-finish transport arrangements are provided while Singapore-based.
  • The role carries a defined scope. We do not add projects to it informally.

Why this role

  • Genuine ownership. You run the London session, not a workflow inside it.
  • A potential defined path to London, subject to business needs, role requirements, immigration eligibility and satisfactory performance.
  • A blended trading, quantitative and relationship skill set that is difficult to acquire in one seat elsewhere.
  • Visible work. Liquidity measurement at CNODE is senior-sponsored and directly affects which providers sit in the pool.
