About the Role

Our client is seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and collaborating closely with customers.

This role involves supporting advanced optical and semiconductor test equipment through installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer training.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve technical issues related to advanced testing equipment and instruments
• Provide on-site field support, including installation, system buy-off, troubleshooting, and optimisation
• Conduct operational and maintenance training for customer teams
• Provide technical advice and application support to enhance customer productivity and product quality
• Prepare detailed technical reports and communicate findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Optical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Mandarin proficiency is a plus, as the role may require communication with colleagues and stakeholders based in China
• Basic knowledge of PC operations and relevant engineering software
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and responsible work attitude
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Prior customer-facing or field service experience is preferred (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
