Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our Linux-based infrastructure in a secure, high-availability financial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux administration, system performance tuning, and production support within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux servers (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu) in production and non-production environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems supporting critical financial applications
• Perform system installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Manage user access, permissions, and system security controls in line with compliance requirements
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively (CPU, memory, disk, network)
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Implement automation using shell scripting or tools like Ansible
• Work closely with application, network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Skills/Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 2–7 years of experience in Linux system administration
• Strong experience with Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu
• Good knowledge of shell scripting (Bash)
• Experience with configuration management/automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/KVM) and cloud platforms is a plus
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
• Exposure to security best practices and hardening standards
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management)
• Experience in financial services/banking environment is highly preferred
