Join eMarine – Make a Real Impact on the Future of Shipping

Join eMarine and work hands-on with electrical control systems that directly reduce energy consumption and emissions onboard large commercial vessels worldwide. Our systems are deployed onboard commercial vessel fleets operating globally.

eMarine is an engineering company delivering advanced electrical control and optimisation systems to international shipowners and operators. We combine marine engineering with advanced electrical control and automation expertise.

We are currently expanding our Singapore engineering team and are looking for engineers ready to take ownership in a growing global organisation.

Experience & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electrical installations, electrical drawings, or cabinet electronics

• Experience with energy-efficiency technologies in marine, industrial, or automation environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin is a plus

• Experience working onboard vessels is an advantage

Maritime experience is welcome but not required - candidates from industrial automation, electrical engineering, or controls environments are encouraged to apply. Training in marine systems will be provided.

Key Attributes

• Analytical and structured in your approach

• Strong problem-solving mindset and initiative

• Motivated to take ownership and grow into increasing technical responsibility

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality

• Able to work independently and in collaborative project teams

• Professional, collaborative, and committed to high engineering standards

Role Expectations & Travel

The role is based in Singapore, combining office, workshop, and onboard project work.

This is a commissioning-oriented role. You will travel onboard vessels to install our systems, validate performance, and support ship crews during startup.

You will work with:

• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

• Marine HVAC and auxiliary systems

• PLC and vessel automation / BMS system integrations

• Electrical control cabinets and field instrumentation

• Performance validation and energy optimisation systems

To give you a clear picture of the travel aspect:

• Travel is project-based and predictable. Most assignments are short-duration (2–4 days onboard), with return travel arranged immediately after completion. This is not a long-rotation offshore role.

• Frequency depends on project load

• Training, commissioning checklists and safety routines are provided

What We Offer

• A mission-driven international team working to improve sustainability in shipping

• High ownership and meaningful impact on real-world energy performance

• A modern, flexible workplace with high involvement in company development

• A varied and dynamic work environment – combining office, lab/workshop and onboard assignments

• A collaborative and supportive team culture with low hierarchy

• Competitive compensation and long-term growth opportunities within the company
