On behalf of world-renowned technology company, Huawei, We are looking for a regional FP&A specialist to assist our Finance team in providing budget and forecast management and liaising with related parties within the Asia-pacific region.

This FP&A specialist would be responsible for:

  • Support the preparation of annual budget and monthly forecast of company’s financial reports, including Income Statement, Operating Cash-flow, and Net-monetary assets denominated in foreign currencies.
  • Perform variance analysis on budget and forecast with actual results, communicating pro-actively with related parties within the region to discuss the budget and forecast performance and identify the business rationale causing the variance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including related entities within the region on continuous improvement of budget & forecast management and financial controls.
  • Liaise with Regional Accounting Shared Service Center for supervising the monthly/annual account closing process.
  • Collection of complex financial data from various sources, compiling and formulating the data collected into financial report presented to CFO.
  • Advise on long-term financial planning and suggest improvement measures for key financial indexes.
  • Overseeing the settlement of inter-company sales transections and service agreement on monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Monitoring the trends and movement in the balance of foreign currency nominated accounts, and perform the forecast in subsequent changes in the balances, to support foreign currency hedging management.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as required to support management decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst or Accountant, with experience gained in an audit firm and/or the finance function of a multinational corporation (MNC). Experience in the ICT industry will be an advantage.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial management processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with demonstrated experience in conducting detailed financial analysis, data interpretation, and management reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Python, data analytics tools, or similar technologies will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required for this role due to the need to communicate, prepare reports, and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and colleagues who primarily use Mandarin Chinese in their day-to-day operations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within China and the Asia-Pacific region as required (approximately 5–10% of working time).
