Job Description

The Electrical Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for supporting the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of electrical systems for a gas turbine power project. The role involves ensuring systems are tested, verified, and ready for safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical systems
• Conduct testing and verification of generators, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems
• Perform wiring checks, functional testing, and relay testing
• Support energization and synchronization of gas turbine units
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and resolve on-site technical issues
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and operational procedures
• Coordinate with engineering teams, construction personnel, vendors, and clients
• Support project milestones and assist in plant handover to operations

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in power generation or gas turbine projects
• Strong knowledge of power systems, including generators, transformers, and protection schemes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Experience with testing equipment and commissioning procedures
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a site-based environment
• Familiarity with safety standards and industry best practices
