Regional Marketing Manager: Drive Brand Growth Across SEA, HK & CN for Leading Beauty Distributor (Mass Cosmetics)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Regional Marketing Manager will work closely with the markets in SEA, HK & CN to implement the approved Marketing strategy for our client and all their respective licensed Brands.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • To drive the master marketing calendar for the region. This includes the forecast of all innovations & collaterals, the definition and execution of the merchandising guidelines, launch activities, events & media campaign planning.
  • To understand how this plan can be implemented by country. Be able to customize & recommend while working on the defined A&P of each account in collaboration with the various markets.
  • Implement all the above into a financial plan which fits the given budget & monitor it through the fiscal year.
  • Lead a launch plan for all key launches and ensure the execution is as per planned.

Media & PR

  • Define the relevant media strategy by brand & by market with given budget.
  • To understand how to plan the media budget & be able to develop a media brief by account.
  • To work closely with agency to identify all opportunities and maximize ROI for all media campaigns in Singapore.
  • To challenge the markets when activities are not planned or budget is not allocated in an optimal way.
  • To plan and coordinate all PR events with the distributors.

Forecasts Management

  • To manage forecasts for innovations efficiently – optimize forecasts accuracy, ensure that forecasts are entered in due time, manage the flow of information between various departments.
  • To monitor the master forecast tracker and ensure that all programs are fully forecasted as per budget & minimize quarterly liabilities.
  • To monitor the monthly forecast rollover, update the monthly DME file & be able to provide relevant information to the forecasting & finance teams during the monthly forecast consensus meeting.
  • To ensure & monitor an optimal & efficient assortment for all markets.

Visual Merchandising & Counter Design

  • Be responsible for all counter renovations & designs projects of the region. Work closely with each distributor & our design agent to define functional designs that are in line with our corporate look.
  • To make sure that all materials are globally approved & follow up on all creative requests.
  • To monitor all promotions across the region – provide necessary guidelines and template in due time.
  • To define the regional transparency and Visual Merchandising strategy and ensure in-store excellence across all locations.
  • To ensure that the internal picture library is updated every time market visit is done.
  • To manage & recommend projects in partnership with local contractor to source for more optimal materials and develop specific tools for the region in terms of POS.

Market Support

  • To provide all necessary information & tools to support the markets on specific and ad hoc requests.
  • To liaise with the Regional Marketing Team and other EA Corporate Departments to fulfill requirements of the portfolio.
  • To assist on the development of a monthly newsletter to share best practices and success stories across the region.
  • To assist with any other related projects and tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Brand builder (not product developer)
  • Good knowledge of the SEA+ HKG business a plus
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Good communicator, internally and externally
  • Curious, pro-active, self-starter
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Fluent Chinese reading and writing is a plus
  • Excellent PC skills

Candidate Profile:

  • Diploma or a University graduate, preferably with marketing or business degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar experience (regional marketing coordination role) in a cosmetic or FMCG company.
