maayot has strong organic traction and a lot of untapped headroom, but no one has ever owned growth full-time. You'd be the first. You'll be building the function, not inheriting one.
The role
You own acquisition, channels, and the numbers. You set the strategy and you do the work. Scale what's working, test new channels with discipline, and get our measurement somewhere we can actually trust. We expect you to be sharper than us on partnerships, growth analytics, SEO, and paid. That's the point of the hire.
The first six months are a proof period: find and scale channels where the unit economics hold (CAC comfortably under LTV, payback you can defend), and get tracking and reporting somewhere we trust.
What you'll own
Creator and brand partnerships. The full cycle: source creators, podcasters, and complementary brands, run the outreach, negotiate and deliver the deals, measure the return. Here this counts as much as paid.
SEO and content. Build something that compounds.
Referral and word of mouth. Design and launch the referral programme.
App-store growth. ASO, Apple Search Ads, mobile attribution.
Paid acquisition. Stand up and test Google and Meta against clear CAC and payback targets. Scale only what clears them.
Measurement and unit economics. You own the tracking stack (GA4, Tag Manager, pixels) and what it produces: CAC, LTV, payback, ROAS. You manage budget against those numbers.
Lifecycle and plan mix. Lift trial-to-paid conversion and retention across free, Standard, and Pro.
What you'll bring
- 3–5+ years in growth or performance marketing, running real budgets and owning the results.
- A portfolio you can talk through in numbers: CAC, LTV, ROAS, what you scaled and how.
- Real partnership and BD ability. You can find, pitch, and close creator and brand deals, not just buy ads. That counts as much as paid-media skill here.
- SEO and content-marketing chops.
- Fluent in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and GA4. Comfortable building your own LTV, CAC, payback, and channel-economics models in a spreadsheet.
- You already use AI to make creative, analyse data, and cut the boring work.
- Self-directed and scrappy. Fine being the only growth person in the room.
- Full professional Mandarin, written and spoken. You'll produce Mandarin marketing content and manage Chinese-language creator partnerships for a Mandarin-learning product. Strong English too, for audience-facing and internal work.
Nice to have
- App and/or subscription marketing experience.
- Edtech or language-learning background, or existing relationships in the Chinese-learning creator space.
- Comfort briefing or producing short-form video.
