Our client, a well-respected Multinational International Freight Forwarding & Logistics Specialist are recruiting for a Contracts Logistics Leader to be based at sites in Singapore.

Role Overview of the Contracts Logistics Leader:

Reporting to the Country Director with 4-5 direct reports, you will be a commercially driven and operationally strong General Manager to lead multi-site contract logistics operations across Singapore. This role holds full accountability for P&L, operations, facilities infrastructure, and customer performance across a portfolio of warehouses. You will ensure not only efficient warehouse operations but also high availability, compliance, and optimization of physical infrastructure and assets.

Key Responsibilities of the Contract Logistics Leader:

1. P&L Ownership & Business Performance

  • Full accountability for financial performance across operations and facilities spend
  • Manage both OPEX (labor, transport, utilities) and CAPEX (automation, racking, MHE, facility upgrades)
  • Drive cost efficiency including energy, maintenance, and space utilization optimization

2. Customer & Commercial Leadership

  • Act as senior escalation point for operational and infrastructure-related issues
  • Design solution and costing including warehouse layout, automation, and facility requirements for new business
  • Ensure facilities capabilities align with customer requirements

3. Multi-Site Operations & Facilities Management

  • Oversee end-to-end operations across multiple warehouse sites
  • Ensure facilities are fit-for-purpose, compliant, and operationally reliable
  • Lead preventive maintenance programs for building systems, MHE, and automation
  • Manage space planning, layout optimization, and warehouse design improvements
  • Oversee lease management, landlord engagement, and contract negotiations
  • Drive sustainability initiatives (energy efficiency, green warehouse practices)
  • Ensure readiness for audits (fire safety, building compliance, ISO standards)

4. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Integrate facilities into continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive automation projects and continuous improvements
  • Use data to optimize throughput, storage density, and facility utilization

5. People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead cross-functional teams including operations and facilities
  • Build capability in warehouse operations, operational excellence

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations (e.g., fire safety, building codes, MOM requirements)
  • Drive incident prevention related to both operations and facilities

Skills & Experience Required to be Considered:

  • 10–15+ years in contract logistics / 3PL / supply chain
  • Proven experience managing multi-site warehouse operations, including facilities
  • Experience in solution design is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with Singapore regulatory environment
  • Ideally proven experience in projects and solutioning for new business tender and implementation
  • Strong commercial and operational leadership
  • Good understanding of warehouse infrastructure, MHE, and building systems
  • Strong stakeholder management (internal, customers, landlords, contractors)
