Job Title: OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Summary/Objective:
The Operations Support Specialist (OSS) is responsible for the coordination of material being stocked, pulled, and issued to customer orders from other inventories or WIP cages. They are also responsible for processing, packaging, shipping and receiving of material within the shipping department.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Ensure orders are fulfilled on time, daily, by monitoring material location and MSD (manufacturing start date)
- Identify corrective action needs when orders are missed within the inventory department and other departments to improve on time delivery (OTD).
- Check emails, expedites, and work centers for material needs.
- Ensure correct reschedule code is entered together with realistic date for any order that is past due in a timely fashion.
- Run deficiency report for material shortages in all areas, CI and WIP.
- Enter approved material into CI from engineering.
- Review all reports for unstocked, unshipped, available, missing, and restock material.
- General work center clean-up/ follow-up for overseas and NA orders
- Record parcel accounting finding
- Assisting associates in troubleshooting system/process issues when needed and ensure they ship according to requirements.
- Implementing corrective action when shipments are missed within the traffic department and other departments to improve OTD.
- Responding to questions, requests, and expedites by internal and external customers.
- Quality Review Board Administrator for respective areas and work to improve department quality.
- Oversee all traffic related functions in accordance with corporate goals.
- Communicating with carriers to file claims, request pick-ups, etc.
- Responsible for processing intercompany shipments.
- Responsible for processing hazardous material shipments.

Required Experience:
- 3 - 5 Years experience in an Inventory or Warehouse setting and 2 years in production area with demostrated coordination skills
- Good Computer skills is required; specifically, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Preferred Education:
- Minimum High School Diploma / related technical or equivalent experience.
