Lead Process Specialist (Water/Wastewater)

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Functions as a technical specialist in municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge treatment processes. Performs all aspects of process design and analysis independently. Possesses broad knowledge and skill set in the discipline. Knowledge of other disciplines and advanced process control using AI technology is an advantage.

1. Design of process systems for wastewater treatment plants, including screening, physical-chemical treatment, biological treatment, blower equipment, odour control, disinfection, and sludge treatment.
2. Design of ancillary systems such as chemical feed, mechanical ventilation, and drainage systems.
3. Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams, mass balances, and P&IDs.
4. Development of general arrangement and equipment layout drawings.
5. Preparation of process equipment specifications and performance expectations.
6. Review and evaluate vendor submissions.
7. Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control designers, and digital water specialists.
8. Lead meetings, HAZOP sessions, and discussions with clients, contractors, and vendors.
9. Provide engineering support for bids and proposals.
10. Prepare testing and commissioning plans, and lead process testing and commissioning activities.
11. Lead and guide a team of process engineers, ensuring QA/QC of their designs.
12. Stay updated with the latest developments in wastewater treatment and sludge management technologies and apply them in design.
