Full-Time English Tutor

Job Summary: We are looking for a committed and experienced Full-Time English Tutorto support students residing in our hostel. The tutor will be responsible for enhancing students proficiency in English through structured lessons, test preparation, and guided self-study. The ideal candidate must be passionate about education, adaptable, and willing to work evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct English tutoring sessions focusing on grammar, writing, comprehension, vocabulary, and oral communication.
• Prepare and conduct vocabulary tests, reading practices, essay writing, and mock exams.
• Supervise and guide students during self-study sessions.
• Create individualized learning plans to support varying language levels and academic goals.
• Monitor student performance and provide regular progress reports.
• Assist students in preparing for school assessments, AEIS, O-levels, or other relevant English examinations.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with hostel staff to support the overall development and well-being of students.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in English, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of teaching/tutoring experience, preferably with international or hostel-based students.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE English curriculum and/or AEIS syllabus is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, responsible, and passionate about helping students improve.
• Willingness to work weekday evenings and weekends.
