CHEMICAL RISK ENGINEER

Due to our companys continued growth and expansion, we are now hiring the following position

Chemical Risk Engineer

We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team of 6 Risk Engineers to contribute in establishing, strengthening and promoting a market leading Risk Engineering practice for HDI Risk Consulting (HRC) in Asia and the Middle East.

Duties will include (but not limited to)

• Conduct Risk Engineering Surveys for Refineries, Petrochemical sites.
• Account Engineering for multinational clients.
• Implementation of efficient loss prevention measures with the development of effective operational risk management procedures at client level.
• Establish a Risk Engineering Practice in line with HRC Standards.
• Implement HRC Risk Engineering tools.
• Desktop reviews of external risk reports as requested by underwriters.
• Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters and in accordance with HRC Risk Engineering guidelines.
• Attend client presentations where required by the underwriting team.
• Develop close relationships with clients.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technical developments in major industries and provide technical updates to underwriters

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the Chemical / Oil & Gas / LNG industry or experience as a risk engineer in the insurance industry.
• Strong technical expertise in process safety management, operations, process engineering.
• Degree or Master in Chemical Engineering. Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of international engineering standards / guidelines.
• International experience or working with different culture is preferred.
• Highly motivated personnel with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10,000.00 - $15,000.00 per month
