Assistant Teacher (Preschool)

Job Description:

As an Assistant Teacher, you will support the main classroom teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. You will assist in daily routines, classroom activities, and care-giving tasks to promote childrens holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the main teacher in delivering age-appropriate activities and lessons.

  • Support childrens daily routines, including feeding, toileting, and nap times.

  • Ensure the health, safety, and hygiene of children at all times.

  • Provide emotional and social support to help children feel secure and confident.

  • Prepare teaching materials and maintain classroom cleanliness.

  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and training sessions as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with other educators and follow the centres curriculum framework.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Fundamental Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE)

  • Enjoy working with young children and have a nurturing personality

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Responsible, patient, and reliable
