Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Splunk Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise SIEM and observability platforms. The role focuses on improving system visibility, reliability, and compliance within a regulated environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance monitoring, incident response, and platform performance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain SIEM and observability solutions using Splunk. Develop and optimize log ingestion, parsing, correlation rules, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms. Integrate observability platforms with cloud services and enterprise tools. Define and implement monitoring frameworks, including SLIs, SLOs, and service health metrics. Investigate incidents, perform troubleshooting, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA). Build automation and auto-remediation solutions using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools. Support CI/CD pipelines for platform configuration and deployment. Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to improve system reliability. Drive continuous improvement and adopt Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices. Skills & Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in infrastructure, cloud, or SRE roles, with strong exposure to SIEM/observability platforms. Hands-on expertise in: Splunk (mandatory), with knowledge of other SIEM tools (e.g., ELK stack) as an advantage Automation and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (e.g., Python) Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and monitoring tools Strong understanding of SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, reliability engineering). Experience in troubleshooting complex systems and performing detailed investigations. Familiarity with security, compliance, and incident management practices in regulated environments. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and agile environment.
