You location and job

• You will work in a remote-first work environment from anywhere in Europe or Asia.

The Role

• We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to take technical ownership of our iOS platform. You'll drive architecture decisions, ship major features, and help shape how we build as the team grows.
• This is a live product with real users. You'll work in an existing codebase, improve what's there, and build new capabilities that ship to millions of people. You'll have strong opinions, make meaningful technical decisions, and own outcomes end-to-end.

Key Requirements

• 5-7 years of professional iOS development experience
• Expert-level Swift — you write clean, idiomatic, well-architected code
• Deep experience with SwiftUI — you've shipped and scaled production SwiftUI apps
• Strong understanding of concurrency — async/await, actors, structured concurrency
• Expert in data persistence — SwiftData, Core Data, or similar
• Expert in modularity — Swift Package Manager, SPM
• Experience with on-device ML — Core ML, MLX, Create ML
• Background in real-time features — chat, sync, presence
• Startup or high-growth company experience
• Familiarity with Firebase ecosystem

Key Skills

• Track record of owning technical outcomes — you've driven architecture decisions and seen them through
• Ability to work autonomously — you take ambiguous problems and deliver solutions
• Clear communicator — you can explain complex technical decisions to engineers and non-engineers alike
• Experience with AI iOS development tools like Github Copilot, Claude, Codex, Swift Package Manager, Cocoapods, SwiftLint, Fastlane, and Xcode.
• Experience with development best practices Rest APIs, Graph QL APIs, Unit and Integration testing, Pairing, TDD, CI/CD.
• Basic understanding of Figma and Linear.

Responsibilities

• Own iOS architecture — drive technical direction, make build vs. buy decisions, establish patterns
• Ship major features — messaging, AI chat, collaborative tools, and new capabilities on the roadmap
• Lead on-device ML integration — architect inference pipelines using MLX Swift and Core ML
• Improve the foundation — refactor, optimize performance, strengthen testing and CI/CD
• Collaborate across platforms — work with Android, backend, and design to ship cohesive experiences
• Raise the bar — code reviews, technical guidance, and helping define how we work
