A locally owned multinational company in the supply chain and logistics industry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Control Senior Executive/Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing to customers, managing accounts receivable processes, and assisting with ad hoc tasks such as annual audit, PO creation and other finance-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Billing: Generate and issue accurate customer invoices based on contractual terms and agreed-upon schedules.
  • Account Reconciliation: Ensure customer accounts are reconciled regularly and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Payment Tracking and collection: Monitor incoming payments, following up closely with customer for overdue payments and assist in resolving any payment disputes or issues and updating customer records/SAP accordingly.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to management regarding accounts receivable status, aging reports, and outstanding balances.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks, including but not limited to, creating purchase orders (POs), processing debit/credit notes, and handling customer inquiries.
  • SAP System Use: Use SAP for billing, invoicing, payment tracking, and other finance-related functions.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline billing and receivable functions.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, customer service team and contract team to ensure smooth operations related to invoicing and customer accounts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role, with a strong understanding of billing and invoicing processes.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using SAP for finance and billing tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Diploma in accounting required; Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with billing and collections process.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliations.
