This role is accountable for leading transformational, high impact Quality and Food Safety initiatives across the region. The position plays a critical role in embedding Quality and Food Safety by design in major greenfield and brownfield investments, as well as in other strategic business programs, fully aligned with global standards and priorities.
As Regional FSQR CoE Lead, you own and deliver complex regional Quality projects and programs with measurable business impact. You ensure Quality and FSQR requirements are integrated from early design through execution, changeover, and sustainment, while operating effectively in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.
About The Role:
1 - Manage transformational / high impact regional Quality projects
- You take full ownership of large, complex Quality projects with regional impact, aligned with the global strategic plan. This includes defining and managing Quality scope, plans, timelines, risks, inter-dependencies, and stakeholder engagement.
- You build and lead cross-functional project teams across AMEA, providing strong governance and transparent reporting to senior stakeholders. You actively manage deviations, define mitigation actions, and ensure disciplined execution.
- You lead change management activities to ensure smooth transition into operations and sustainable adoption of new ways of working, while managing both internal and external dependencies across the project landscape.
For the 10 Non negotiables (NNS):
- Collect regional feedback to support the development of new Global Policies
- Articulate execution in connection with OPS Q and Q Steering leaders
- Consolidate and present Capex required for compliance
- FS Capex: consolidate FS Capex and influence prioritization execution (current plan in AMEA 26 MCHF from 12 existing plants + one new greenfield)
2 - Convert project outcomes into Policies and Procedures
- As projects deliver new approaches, capabilities, or operating models, you ensure these are translated into clear, practical Policies, Procedures, and standards.
- You work with relevant quality functions to formalize new ways of working, define ownership, and ensure appropriate training is delivered to enable consistent execution and compliance.
- You support regional initiatives to consolidate Quality knowledge, tools, and documentation within company platforms (e.g., SharePoint), strengthening accessibility, consistency, and institutional learning.
3. Consult on Quality and Food Safety in business projects and programs
- You act as a trusted Quality partner to the business, providing expert guidance on Quality and Food Safety topics across a broad range of strategic and operational initiatives.
- You drive compliance with Business Case (BC) requirements related to Quality and Food Safety throughout the design, development, and execution of business projects.
- You actively contribute to the development and evolution of BC standards, including engineering, GMP, issue management, and related Quality frameworks, ensuring they are fit for purpose and aligned with global expectations.
4 - Training and capability development
- You design, develop, and deliver training on Quality principles and practices for the regional Quality organization and the broader business, building a strong understanding of the value of Quality and Food Safety.
- You organize and continuously improve Quality onboarding programs and the regional training roadmap, ensuring relevance, consistency, and effectiveness.
- You identify capability gaps and training improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement by developing processes, guidelines, and tools that embed Quality and Food Safety into daily ways of working.
About You:
- You have a master's degree in science/engineering or other related relevant education or background; Food Science the preference
- Certifications and/or formal education in project management are highly valued and expected; equivalent practical experience may compensate for a candidate without formal education in the area
- Language: Fluent in English, other languages an asset
- Travel requirements: travel will be required at an ad hoc basis to sites within the AMEA region (depending on the program/project/needs)
- Flexible in time zones as due to global scope difference in time zones to be managed
