Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Machine Operation:
Operate production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment.
Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure it is functioning properly and efficiently.
Production Process Monitoring:
Monitor the production process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
Perform regular inspections of products during and after production to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Record production data, including quantities produced, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues that may arise during production.
Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, and part replacement, to prevent breakdowns.
Report any major equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the maintenance team or supervisor for further action.
Quality Control:
Follow quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer expectations.
Report any deviations from quality standards to the supervisor and take corrective action as directed.
Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow safety procedures for handling machinery and materials.
Participate in safety training sessions and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production quantities, and any issues encountered.
Complete production reports and other required documentation as instructed by the supervisor.
Assist in maintaining inventory records of materials and supplies used in production.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with other production operators, technicians, and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks, share information, and address any production-related issues.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving production processes and efficiency.
Housekeeping:
Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.
Perform regular cleaning of machinery, tools, and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure proper functioning.
Dispose of waste materials according to company policies and environmental regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing practices, to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
Provide feedback to supervisors and suggest ideas for improving production processes, equipment performance, and safety.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum Secondary or equivalent required.
Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, machinery operation, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Experience operating in high mixed low volume in a production setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Basic computer skills for recording production data and completing reports.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
