• Watering and caring for plants and planting areas
• Planting new plants when required
• General gardening maintenance (weeding, trimming, pruning, soil care)
• Applying compost or suitable plant nutrients
• Basic pest and disease control
• Caring for butterfly host plants and caterpillars, including cleaning of tanks
• Tidying planting areas (sweeping, debris removal, clearing creepers)

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of gardening and horticultural practices
• Interest and passion for gardening and plant care
• Prior experience in garden maintenance preferred (especially in a school environment)

1 year contract (Option to extend another year) (May 2026 to Apr 2027)

• Mondays: 8.00am to 1.00pm (excludes lunch break)
• Tuesday and Thursdays: 8.00am to 4.30pm (includes half an hour lunch break)
• About 21 working hours per week (not more than 8 hours per day)
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
