We are seeking a Singapore-qualified lawyer to join our team as a Junior Partner – Banking & Finance / General Dispute Resolution, providing strategic leadership across both transactional and contentious matters while strengthening client relationships and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Leadership & Strategic Advisory

• Lead legal advice on a wide range of banking and finance matters, including syndicated and bilateral loans, asset finance, trade and receivables financing, derivative transactions, and structured finance.
• Advise clients on commercial disputes, contractual disputes, and related litigation or arbitration matters.
• Provide practical regulatory and compliance guidance to financial institutions, including AML/KYC obligations under Singapore law.
• Issue legal opinions and ensure transaction and dispute documentation is robust, commercially sound, and risk-aware.

2. Transaction Management & Dispute Strategy

• Oversee the negotiation and drafting of financing arrangements, security documentation, guarantees, and related contracts.
• Manage dispute strategies, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Anticipate legal risks, structure solutions strategically, and mitigate client exposure.

3. Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead, coach, and develop associates and senior associates across both practice areas.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that delivers excellent client service.

4. Firm Strategy & Contribution

• Contribute to the firm’s strategic objectives, including cross‑practice collaboration and growth initiatives.
• Support pitching and proposal development for new mandates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Law degree and admission to practice in Singapore; additional international qualifications a plus.
• 7 years PQE in banking and finance law, with proven leadership on substantial and complex matters.
• Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to develop talent and lead a high-performing team.
