The Position:
We are looking for a HR Manager to be based in Singapore, responsible for managing human resources functions of about 30 employees across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. You will be responsible for aligning human resources processes and solutions to meet the business needs of the agency. You will help administer and execute human resource policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and coordination. You are also responsible for tactical implementation of a variety of human resources programs and initiatives and must keep current on labour laws and regulations to ensure companys legal compliance through policy setting, practice standards, and advice to management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads key human resources processes and initiatives such as talent acquisition, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, retention and change management.
- Acts as a strategic partner to business partner and consultant to the Management team on understanding and addressing business needs and challenges with tailored HR solutions.
- Work with the Management team to determine workforce needs, identify human resource and competency gaps, and devise a development and workforce plan to job roles and staff retention. Ensure teams are optimized and working efficiently.
- Lead talent acquisition process including job postings, screening and interviewing candidates, building talent pool, actively reaching out to top talent, facilitating salary negotiations and contract preparation. Oversee the internship program and foster strong relationships with educational institutions.
- Continuously improve and implement effective HR processes, maintain employee records in HRIS system (Workday) and leave management. Facilitate payroll updates, approvals, statutory obligations including but not limited to tax filing, CPF contributions and administer government claims such as childcare leave, NS make-up pay, maternity and paternity leave.
- Develop and regularly update company policies, employment contracts and the employee handbook. Ensures proper administration of company policies and compliance training, in accordance with labor laws and regulations.
- Liaise with key vendors including LinkedIn, various insurance providers, Telum, and Paymo (timesheet management tool) to support business operations, including providing new hire training on Paymo for accurate timesheet recording and generating and distributing timesheet reports where necessary.
- Serves as advocate to both employee and company regarding employee performance as well as day-to-day working environment. Counsel employees and/or managers regarding a variety of issues.
- Manages compensation process to ensure adherence to company guidelines and monitors salary/grade levels for competitiveness in industry and fairness in company.
- Lead all employee relations with professional grace, lead investigations to resolve issues/conflict in the workplace, act as an impartial mediator in disciplinary procedures and ensure it is administered in fair manner and meets all legal and labor regulations, advice managers in determining appropriate disciplinary plans of action.
- Lead the development and implementation of employee communication programs and ensures the employees are aware of the agencys policies, programs, and management goals.
- Develop and lead learning & development programs such as designing and implementing tailored training programs for core PR skillsets within the company.
- Organizes and leads employee engagement events and wellbeing initiatives for employees to foster a positive work environment, including but not limited to work anniversaries and birthdays, company events such as the Klareco Teal Party.
- Conducts research, manages projects and timelines, participates as a hands-on contributor on teams and committees toward the successful completion of various ad-hoc HR programs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in human resources or related field and 4+ years experience in Human Resources function; Masters degree a plus.
- Previous experience in PR/Media/Creative/Marketing/Advertising agency is an advantage.
- Solid human resources generalist background.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Interpersonal and team skills with ability to professionally interact with all levels of employees.
