Assistant Relationship Manager - Trade Finance (Corporate Banking)

About the Role:

We are hiring on behalf of a Chinese bank to expand its Corporate Banking team. This role supports Relationship Managers in managing a portfolio of corporate clients, focusing on deposit growth, trade finance transactions, and day-to-day client servicing. Its an excellent opportunity for candidates with banking experience looking to deepen their exposure to trade products and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support RMs in managing and growing a portfolio of high-deposit corporate clients
• Assist in cross-selling bank solutions, including cash management and treasury services
• Handle onboarding tasks such as account opening, maintenance, periodic reviews, KYC, CDD, AML, and risk profiling to meet internal and Head Office compliance standards
• Coordinate closely with RMs and internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses to client queries and the smooth execution of trade transactions
• Track and follow up on credit facility renewals, and ensure timely documentation and registration
• Maintain daily trackers and follow up on outstanding items
• Support ad hoc projects and team initiatives as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Banking, Finance, or related discipline preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate banking or trade finance support roles
• Familiarity with trade products and corporate banking operations
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and Head Office
