Role

Senior Manager Cost Control will lead cost management activities ensuring strong financial governance, cost predictability and commercial discipline throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with Project Directors, Commercial, Procurement and Construction teams to safeguard project profitability and support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, train and develop the Cost Control team with resourcing aligned to business needs.
  • Support project tender submissions using historical cost performance data to benchmark pricing and tender evaluations.
  • Undertake pre-submission reviews of commercial aspects of tender document and provide support in the preparation of commercial aspects of tender submissions.
  • Provide risk and opportunity analysis of the commercial, financial and fiscal aspects of tender proposals.
  • Lead the monthly commercial and cost control reporting functions across the project suite of the regional business. Reporting functions cover cash management and forecasting, cost and value forecasting and reconciliation, budget setting and management, cost risks and opportunities.
  • Leadership of the Cost Control functions across multiple projects: timely and regular preparation and tracking of project forecast and internal business reports for the project.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cost control / project controls within EPC, construction or industrial projects
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, complex project budgets
