Job Description

  • Identify, analyse and monitor possible risk factors associated with fixed income investment activities to ensure sound credit risk exposure across portfolios.
  • Accountable to produce issuer- and sector-level credit research analysis that are of high quality on a timely and regular basis.
  • Ownership of an issuer coverage spanning across Asia and global investment-grade bond markets, and expand research coverage into new issuers and markets aligned to the risk appetite of our organisation.
  • Proactively evaluate portfolio resilience under various market, economic, and geopolitical scenarios through stress testing and risk analysis to support investment decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvements in credit monitoring and investment workflows through the adoption of AI, data analytics, and automation tools to enhance the efficiency of credit assessment and portfolio monitoring, while maintaining robust analytical standards, independent judgement and investment rigour.
  • Conduct due diligence, evaluation, selection, and ongoing monitoring of external fund managers across fixed income-related asset classes and other alternative credit strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in related fields (i.e. economics, finance, investment, mathematics, actuarial sciences, statistics, accounting, business management, computer science, etc)
  • At least 6 years’ experience in credit research, for the Asian and global bond markets.
  • Prior experience with an insurance company or an asset management firm serving insurance clients is preferred. Candidates should possess an understanding of insurers’ investment objectives, regulatory considerations and risk appetite.
  • Work experience in a rating agency would be an added advantage.
