Duties & Responsibilities
SUMMARY Augmen+ Technologies is the provider of one of the world’s leading field force management system. Based in Singapore, we are a corporate venture backed by one of the largest advanced security service provider in Asia. We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for talented individuals to join our dynamic and multi-disciplinary team.
To support the development and deployment of a core suite of modern, serverless, cloud-native applications. You are keenly interested in not just building applications using modern tech stacks, but you also lose sleep over how to scale them, monitor them, and how to get them to fail gracefully and recover quickly. As an acolyte of the Agile manifesto, you are thoroughly familiar with agile software development practices and you live and breathe DevOps.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the development and deployment of core operational applications, using the latest in cloud technologies.
Build and configure tools that support the automation and monitoring of mission‑critical systems.
Coordinate work between the in‑house development team and outsourced vendors, ensuring that work progresses smoothly between both parties.
Supervise and monitor third‑party vendors that are contracted to deliver IT projects under the purview of the department.
Keep up with industry standards, technologies and developments.
Monitor progress of product development goals and provide status reports to management.
Document relevant information for our business units and customers.
Skills & Experience
Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related fields.
At least 2‑5 years of experience in large‑scale software application development.
Familiar with Java (and JVM‑based languages) for backend web application development, including web frameworks such as Spring Boot, Micronaut as well as ReactJS for the frontend, or familiar with C# and .NET for backend web application development as well as ReactJS for the frontend.
Familiar with agile software development (Scrum).
Familiar with service‑oriented and microservices architectures.
Experience in using cloud service providers, especially AWS.
Experience with Linux server administration.
Experience with mobile application development will be a bonus, e.g. Android, iOS, React Native, Flutter.
