Compliance Functions and Leadership
  • Serve as Metabit’s designated compliance function head under MAS licensing requirements.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, monitoring, and training programs.
  • Act as the MAS liaison, managing inspections, filings, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Review and approve new activities, products, and markets from a regulatory and compliance perspective.
Trading and Market Conduct Surveillance
  • Design and operate trading surveillance systems to detect market abuse, spoofing, front‑running, and MNPI risks across the firm’s global strategies.
  • Administer personal account dealing and MNPI control frameworks for Singapore-based and remote‑access staff.
  • Partner with risk and trading teams on pre‑ and post‑trade monitoring and control enhancements.
AML/CFT and KYC Management
  • Oversee the Singapore AML/CFT framework in accordance with MAS Notice SFA04‑N02.
  • Supervise onboarding, due diligence, and sanctions screening processes for investors and counterparties.
  • Serve as AMLCO and/or MLRO, ensuring proper governance, escalation, and reporting.
Cross‑Border and Group Coordination
  • Collaborate with Hong Kong, US, and Mainland China compliance teams on cross‑border trading, data privacy, and personnel matters.
  • Support regional and global regulatory expansion (e.g., SFC, SEC, FCA regimes).
Governance and Reporting
  • Report periodically to the General Counsel, COO, and Singapore LFMC Board on compliance posture, incidents, and evolving regulatory developments.
  • Contribute compliance perspectives to internal/external audits and investor due diligence reviews.
  • Maintain documentation and attestations consistent with MAS standards and global governance principles.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk, or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of compliance experience, including 3+ years at a MAS‑licensed fund management company (LFMC preferred).
  • Eligible to serve as MAS‑designated compliance function head (fit and proper requirements).
  • Strong knowledge of SFA, MAS LFMC guidelines, AML/CFT notices, and market conduct standards.
  • Demonstrated experience handling MAS inspections, audits, and inquiries independently.
  • Professional proficiency in English; Mandarin preferred due to regional operating environment.
  • Singapore residency required (or willingness to relocate with work authorization).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience at a quantitative hedge fund, systematic trading, or HFT firm.
  • Practical understanding of global futures, derivatives, and equity market microstructure.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and managing trading surveillance frameworks.
  • Exposure to regional compliance coordination across MAS, SFC, SEC, and CFTC regimes.
