Staff Nurse

JOB SCOPE

Out-patient:

• Assist at out-patient clinic

• Provide patient education & counselling

• Maintain consumables & medication stocks

• Assist the doctors in the consultation room and procedures both in & outside the Centre

Surgery:

• Maintain stocks & inventory of surgical consumables

• Assist in laser refractive procedures (e.g. LASIK) & other minor procedures

• Upkeep of laser suite and instrument sterility

Administrative Duties:

• Coordinate with external parties (ie. labs, hospitals, clinics & operating theatres, etc) in the management of patients.

• Coordinate with external vendors for purchasing & maintenance of equipment and services.

• Organise the surgical listing of patients.

Work Hours/ Benefits

• Alternate 5 day week (Alternate weekends off)

• Weekday 8.30am to 5.30pm

• Annual Leave 18-25 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Fully registered with Singapore Nursing Board

• Previous experience in ophthalmic or surgical nursing will be advantageous

• Able to work well in a team

• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

• Strong work ethic, integrity & compassion are requisites
