SMART Automation Sustainment Technician, Tier 2
QualificationMinimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing computer, server, and network hardware.
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware/network issues using Linux tools.
- Experience with hardware/OS, coding and scripting or networking domains.
- Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and ability to exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and lifting.
- Experience with industrial controllers (e.g., Rockwell, Beckoff, Siemens, etc.).
- Experience with industrial robot programming (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, etc.).
- Experience with industrial vision systems (Cognex, Keyence or OpenCV), CAD and basic machining, and prototyping tools and programs (e.g., Autodesk, Solidworks).
- Experience with SAP EAM.
- Ability to collaborate and partner with people and teams to overcome challenges.

- Monitor the robotic systems performance, checking for any error messages, unusual behavior, or signs of malfunction using specialized software to track the robots activities and health.
- Understand all PM procedures and schedules to ensure they can be carried out by a tier 1 technician.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues that occur, whether its a software glitch, a hardware malfunction, or a problem with the robots interaction with the server infrastructure. Perform troubleshooting/repairs and generate documentation.
- Install software updates and upgrades and ensure they are compatible with the data centers environment.
- Work closely with other data center staff, including robotics professionals, and security personnel. Communicate any issues, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure the robots operations align with the overall data center operations.
