Retail Assistant (Aquarium)

Responsibilities

• Help customers choose fish and advise on their care and tank upkeep.
• Keep aquariums clean and healthy (water changes, cleaning, water checks).
• Feed and care for fish and other aquatic life.
• Receive and prepare new fish and supplies.
• Handle cash register and customer payments.
• Help keep the shop clean and tidy.
• Provide support to customers after their purchase.
• Follow safety rules when working with aquatic animals.

Requirements

• Friendly, helpful, and a good team player (also able to work alone).
• Comfortable handling live animals and doing physical tasks (lifting, cleaning).
• Available to work weekends and public holidays if needed.
• Good communication skills.
