The MEICA Installation Manager will be leading the MEICA installation team for the project. This individual should have a proven track record with excellent communication skills and possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation systems installation, as well as substantial hands-on project management expertise in the construction sector. Job Description
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate MEICA systems seamlessly into existing building design, ensuring compatibility and optimal operation.
- Conduct technical reviews of MEICA engineering designs and proposals, recommending improvements to optimise equipment constructability and efficiency.
- Develop MEICA installation plans, sequencing, resource allocation, and logistical considerations.
- Prepare cost estimates for MEICA installation and services, considering design changes and project specifics.
- Provide technical leadership in the installation of MEICA systems.
- Oversee the entire MEICA installation process, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications, industry standards, safety standards, and best practices.
- Supervise and mentor MEICA installation team, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate closely with the client / stakeholders, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring MEICA systems align with their installation requirements.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and industry regulations on the construction site.
- Provide regular project updates, technical reports, and installation strategies to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 15 years of experience in the planning and construction of major process industry / industrial / infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record as a MEICA installation manager in large scale projects, managing internal / external stakeholders - HSE, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Client, Authorities.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Ability to identify and address construction challenges and issues promptly.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a team.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience of safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to construction in Singapore.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Good knowledge of large scale MEICA equipment and systems.
- Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with a diverse team.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/ timelines.
- Meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to ownership of MEICA installation scope and work under tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Will be required to work full time on project site.
