Medical Record Officer (Full Time)

Setting: Private ClinicSchedule: 5.5 DaysLocation: Central, Singapore

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for providing quality frontline services to patients. Core duties include patient registration, appointment bookings, medical records management and cashiering. MRO also sees to front-line patient relations, performs financial counselling and takes on clinical responsibilities to assist other medical professionals to facilitate care delivery

  • To assemble inpatient health records according to the prescribed filing order.

  • Ensure completeness of inpatient health records and timely return (based on discharge dates) from wards.

  • Update Supervisor of any missing documents in the course of filing/ follow up on outstanding patient health records.

  • To reconcile loose external reports to the patient file.

  • Ensure accurate update of drug allergy and medical allergy in the HIS.

  • Maintains inpatient health record movement (retrieval and return of records)

  • To handle the request for the release of medical information in accordance with established policies and procedures and PDPC Act

  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all inpatient medical information and ensures that disclosure of information is in accordance with established policies and procedures and PDPC Act.

  • To prepare and consolidate the health records in cartons for scanning.

  • Liaise with relevant HR to seek for approval for specific tests required to complete the medical reports.

  • Collate and prepare the relevant medical reports for Corporate summary or MOM reporting

  • Follow-up with the relevant stakeholders whenever necessary

  • Other duties as and when required

 Key Skills

  • Proven track record and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Proficient in Excel and Words

  • Meticulous and comfortable with numbers

  • communicate with all stakeholders - both internal and external.

  • Good written and spoken English and mandarin

  • Ability to prioritize and exceed expectations

  • Able to work in a stressful environment and has good coping mechanism

  • Able to work independently

 What we are looking for:

  • Minimum GCE N level above

  • Must have at least 1 to 2 years of experience working in the healthcare sector (Hospital / Clinics)

  • Applicants must be fully vaccinated (according to MOH guidelines)
