We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maritime operations, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and productivity.

• Coordinate agency appointments, review PDAs and FDAs.
• Communicate with charterers, brokers, agents, and vessels regarding voyage orders and vessel itineraries.
• Plan, prepare, and circulate loading & discharging operations, coordinating with Master, port captains, stevedores, agents, and other parties for efficient port turnaround.
• Monitor vessel movements and performance.
• Review and prepare cargo stowage plans to optimize liftings for bulk, breakbulk, or project cargo, including making stowage, lashing/bedding plans, and calculations.
• Oversee hold cleaning plans, chemical supplies, and supervisors.
• Plan bunker supplies and coordinate with bunker suppliers.
• Handle claims, liaise with P&I clubs and legal teams to resolve disputes/arbitration.
• Attend vessel and supervise cargo operations during critical shipments; source and purchase materials for cargo operations.
• Perform cost control procedures and verify bills from agents and vendors.
• Support chartering team in fixing potential shipments and assessing vessel suitability.
• Assist chartering team with cargo uplift, stowage planning, and port inquiries for prospective vessels.
• Guide the postfix team in calculating voyage laytime, chart-hire, and freight; verify invoices before settlement.
• Coordinate operational strategies to ensure efficiency and meeting objectives.
• Manage, motivate, and evaluate team performance.
• Identify weaknesses in procedures and processes, propose solutions for management approval, and implement improvements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or related field.
• 6-10 years of experience in shipping operations for bulk, breakbulk, parcel, and project cargo.
• Master Mariner certification with relevant shore experience or sailing experience in similar trades.
• Experience with loading windmill components, project cargo, and general cargoes.
• Proficiency with CAD, FEMAP, or similar software for stowage planning.
