Director - Advertising Solutions, Brand Direct, APAC
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to drive sales, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth for PubMatic. This role involves identifying, pitching, and engaging with leading brands. The ideal candidate should be entrepreneurial, responsible for developing brand relationships, leading solution-based sales discussions, and aligning brand needs with our services.
What Youll Do:
- Interact frequently with peers across offices and PubMatics leadership, connecting dots between functions and understanding our technology and offerings.
- Prospect and engage new brands through LinkedIn, calls, or networking.
- Present PubMatics value proposition to brands and custodians.
- Create customized pitches for brand teams.
- Deeply understand the programmatic landscape in APAC, especially in India, Australia, Japan, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
- Collaborate with senior client directors to influence decisions and educate on PubMatics value.
- Respond to brand briefs with tailored solutions.
- Coordinate efforts to expand brand penetration locally and globally.
- Work with internal teams to develop solutions for brands.
- Propose and present innovative concepts aligned with client goals.
- Suggest ideas for brand collaboration and campaigns.
- Confidently present to C-level executives and navigate challenges.
- Be willing to test, learn, and optimize strategies.
Wed Love for You to Have:
- 8-10+ years in sales, business development, or product roles within ad tech or agencies.
- Deep understanding of the advertiser and brand ecosystem in Australia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, and Japan.
- Established relationships with key advertisers and brands in APAC.
- A growth mindset: willing to take risks and ask questions.
- Solution leadership skills: shaping feature roadmaps and leading discussions with Product and R&D teams.
- Understanding of the programmatic industry, especially sell-side operations and ad tech.
- Clear communication and service orientation.
- Experience engaging with C-level executives.
- High emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
