You are part of the Regional Controllership Team in Sea Finance. You play a key role in bridging HQ tax and LATAM tax teams in leading and rolling out crucial projects and new developments. The key responsibilities of this role include:

1. Developing and maintaining tax plans, compliance procedures, and risk assessment frameworks to ensure effective tax management.
2. Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and other direct or indirect taxes.
3. Collaborating with finance, accounting teams, and other stakeholders to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented accurately per national tax compliance requirements.
4. Identifying, tracking, and reporting any potential financial risks or issues and working closely with the accounting teams to implement appropriate solutions.
5. Ensuring alignment among HQ teams and local teams on tax matters.
6. Responsible for the groups direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing matters.
7. Responsible for tax compliance and tax reporting of the group, including reviewing or preparing tax returns where appropriate.
8. Coordinating or preparing transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
9. Assisting with research and implementation of various tax initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to understand the tax impact of business operations, and ensuring tax needs are identified, considered, and communicated.
10. Managing tax audits in collaboration with finance teams.
11. Participating in ad-hoc projects.

1. Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
2. Over 7 years of relevant working experience.
3. Big 4 accounting firm experience is desired but not mandatory.
4. Strong team player with experience in leading, developing, and growing teams.
5. Passionate about finance and eager to challenge the status quo.
6. Enjoys working in a fast-paced and demanding environment while delivering results.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
8. Strong logical and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
10. Experience with managing voluminous data, statistics, and research methodologies is a plus.
11. Willingness to travel frequently to Brazil.
