Job OverviewJurong Port specializes in multipurpose port operations, including handling general, bulk, and containerized cargo, managing the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. The port also engages in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, its terminals managed nearly 35 million tons of cargo and 560,000 TEUs of containers.
Key Responsibilities Projects- Execute digitalisation projects at Lighter Terminals and other projects within the Lighterage and Regional Trade Division.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes and implementations.
- Collaborate with Digitalisation, Transformation, and Safety teams on process optimisation projects.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, budgets, and ensure projects stay on track.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders.
- Support project team members, assign tasks, and ensure effective completion.
- Coordinate tasks with team members to meet project objectives timely.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement necessary changes.
- Resolve stakeholder conflicts to ensure project success.
- Develop and monitor ground operation productivity parameters.
- Optimize operational planning, address bottlenecks, and troubleshoot daily issues.
- Perform procurement functions for the division.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in operational processes.
- Perform administrative duties and handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Division HOD.
- Bachelors Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Terminal Operations, Business Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Understanding of stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and solution design.
- Basic software development and database knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of databases; coding skills in Python, Java, or similar are a plus.
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills; able to propose and implement improvements.
- Excellent communication skills; capable of engaging with diverse cultures.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven; able to deliver under challenging conditions.
- Ability to lead and gain stakeholder buy-in for solutions and processes.
