Accountant

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage comprehensive accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries
  • Prepare and finalize monthly and annual financial statements in compliance 
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support intercompany transactions and ensure accurate reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, aligning with corporate guidelines and objectives.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial services, and relevant government authorities 
  • Ensure adherence to all financial filing requirements, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) submissions, tax filings, and support internal audit processes.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements, manage daily cash flow, and provide cash flow projections.
  • Provide financial insights and support to the Retail Manager on operational matters to drive business performance.
  • Any other ad hoc duties and administrative tasks as assigned

Requirement:

  • Degree / ACCA or its equivalents
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS
  • A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
  • Team player, can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
  • Familiarity with Xero is a plus
