The Safety Officer should be a competence and qualified person holding valid Ministry of Manpower Safety Certificate(s). The Safety Officer is to ensure the safety and well-being of Public, Project Staff and all personnel during the Project Implementation

Responsibilities

  • Conducting employee training on safety standards
  • Conduct Safety Induction Courses to Staff & Subcontractors
  • Reviewing safety training and recommending improvements
  • Establishing and maintaining safety programs and protocols
  • Ensuring safety equipment is available and usable
  • Responding to employee safety concerns
  • Conducting safety inspections and audits
  • Reviewing accidents and incidents
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce injuries, accidents, and health problems
  • Evaluating risks associated with hazards in the workplace
  • Analysing areas of non-compliance with safety standards

The ideal profile should have:

  • Safety Officer with Valid Competency Certificate(s)
  • Have at least two years of relevant work experience in a role that involves safety management, coordination, or inspections
