The Total Rewards Specialist will work closely with the Senior Manager to lead the design,
implementation, and management of our compensation, benefits, and recognition programmes.
This role is critical to ensuring our Total Rewards approach attracts, retains, and motivates top talent while supporting the organisation’s business objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, hands-on expertise, and a passion for creating rewarding employee experiences.
Key responsibilities:
Total Rewards Strategy
- Develop and manage the organisation’s total rewards programmes, ensuring alignment with business goals and organisational values
- Conduct regular market analyses to ensure competitive positioning in compensation and benefits
- Partner with HR leadership to integrate total rewards with broader talent management initiatives
- Provide recommendations to leadership on pay strategies, benefits enhancements, and recognition programmes
Annual Appraisal and Promotion Cycles
- Drive the annual performance appraisal cycle, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, policies and timelines
- Partner with HR Partners and relevant stakeholders to ensure fair and equitable performance assessment and evaluation
- Drive continuous improvements in the performance appraisal process to enhance employee experience and outcomes
- Partner with HR Partners and relevant stakeholders to drive a seamless promotion process and ensure alignment with career progression frameworks and organisational needs
- Develop and maintain clear promotion policies, guidelines and tools to support a fair and well-governed promotion cycle and decisions
Compensation Management
- Support in the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus distributions
- Conduct job evaluations, market benchmarking, and pay equity analyses to maintain internal consistency and external competitiveness
- Design and implement compensation-related frameworks and salary structures, incentive plans, bonus frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives
Benefits Administration
- Manage health, wellness, retirement, and ancillary benefits programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of employees and are cost-effective for the organisation
- Evaluate benefit offerings and recommend enhancements based on employee feedback and market trends
Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Partner with HR Partners and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and communication of total rewards programmes
- Act as a subject matter expert on all total rewards-related matters, providing guidance to HR and senior management
- Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and consultants to optimise programme delivery
Analytics & Compliance
- Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programmes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Conduct audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all compensation and benefits processes
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in total rewards
Key requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline
Experience
- Experienced in compensation, benefits, or total rewards
- Professional certifications such as CCP , CEBS, or SHRM-CP/SCP are preferred
Skills and Attributes
- Strong knowledge of compensation structures, job evaluation methods, and benefits administration
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements related to compensation and benefits
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and HRIS systems
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Meticulous and detailed-oriented, with high accuracy in work delivery
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on delivering results and outcomes
