Role Summary

As the Technical Pre‑Sales Manager for Singapore and ASEAN, you will lead a team of Solution Engineers. This position demands a blend of technical expertise and business acumen. You will establish and lead the pre‑sales strategy and act as a guiding business and technical advisor for Broadcom's most strategic portfolio: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). Your overarching mission is to substantially accelerate sales velocity and drive the adoption of VCF with add‑ons with enterprise and government customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Manage via direct reports the coordination of activities assuming responsibility for team results, coaching & mentoring of individual members, performance evaluations, and career growth development.
    • Implement operational and strategic policies, assigning work in the form of broad objectives to manage resources and achieve group goals.
  • Leading with Technical Expertise & Thought Leadership
    • Lead your team to serve as the principal technical authority and strategic advisor for VCF and Add‑ons technologies, driving forward‑thinking technical insights and architectural vision.
    • Oversee and advise on technical engagements, including architecture workshops and product roadmap discussions.
    • Drive the goal of establishing VCF as the essential, unified cloud platform that underpins and accelerates the customer's enterprise‑wide digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
    • Ensure the team is knowledgeable of the competition, can identify lockout specifications, and actively communicates the company's competitive advantage.
    • Provide guidance and maintain team expertise across the most advanced components of the VCF stack.
    • Ensure proficiency in sophisticated areas such as networking and security (VCF Networking – NSX and Add‑ons portfolio – vDefend & Avi Load Balancer), modern applications (vSphere Kubernetes Services), and emerging technologies (integration of Private AI capabilities on VCF).
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management.
  • Proven history working on advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state‑of‑the‑art technical knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.
  • Certifications in VMware technologies, cloud‑native, public cloud and networking technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Red Hat OpenShift, CCIE etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Recognized internally and externally as a technical or business leader, utilizing skills to contribute to company objectives in creative and effective ways.
  • Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods to obtain solutions and deliver outcomes.
  • Capable of setting direction for high‑impact and/or long‑range strategic and technical projects.
