Job Description The Senior Officer at United Overseas Bank Ltd plays a pivotal role in supporting departmental operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and contributing to the efficient delivery of banking services. This position involves a blend of operational execution, problem-solving, and collaboration within a dynamic financial environment. Job Responsibilities Execute daily operational tasks and processes accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and deadlines. Review and verify transactions, documents, and reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and analyses for management review and decision-making. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to resolve issues, streamline processes, and improve operational effectiveness. Respond to customer and internal inquiries, providing timely and accurate information and escalating complex issues when necessary. Identify potential risks and operational inefficiencies, proposing solutions for continuous improvement. Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and products, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of relevant banking regulations, policies, and industry best practices. May be involved in coaching and mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field. Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements (e.g., anti-money laundering, know-your-customer). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with banking systems. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
