The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) provides comprehensive support across the student life cycle—from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond. SASD works closely with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey.

Within SASD, the Student Affairs Office (SAO) plays a central role in shaping student life through leadership development, student-led activities, residential life, integration efforts, community engagement, arts, and sports. The successful candidate will contribute to broader initiatives aimed at supporting and strengthening NTU’s student-athlete ecosystem through the administration of high-performance athlete support frameworks, recruitment of high-performance athletes, management of student sports organisations, and coordination of key partnerships and sporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Student-Athlete Support & Programmes
  • Manage engagement with external stakeholders such as Singapore Sports School (SSP), the High Performance Sport Institute (HPSI) and other government agencies or stakeholders to advance student-athlete development and high-performance sport outcomes.
  • Coordinate collaborative initiatives and maintain effective working relationships with external organisations. Where applicable, be the point-of-contact to liaise with the relevant National Sport Association and/or other relevant organisations for major events (e.g., ASEAN University Games 2030).
  • Administer support for national and high-performance student-athletes to align with the University’s objectives. This includes liaising with Office of Admissions and Schools to facilitate admissions processes and/or funding programmes, preparing for athlete onboarding and working with College/Schools to facilitate athlete-friendly academic arrangements during the semesters.
  • Maintain database of prospective high-performance athlete, monitor athletes’ progress and provide coordination of support services.
  • Support planning and execution of university, inter-varsity, and national sporting events.
  • Support outreach, engagement activities, and recruitment initiatives.
  • Assist in policy development, planning, and stakeholder coordination efforts.
Student Sports Management & Governance
  • Oversee operations of assigned varsity teams and recreational sports clubs.
  • Guide and support student leaders in programme planning, governance, and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies, safety, and risk management standards.
  • Assist in strengthening processes and frameworks for student sports organisations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Sports Science/ Sports Management, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in student affairs, sports administration, programme management, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building capabilities.
  • Experience managing events, programmes, and operational activities.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of sports development, athlete support frameworks, and university sports environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Passion for student development and sports excellence.
  • Able to work irregular hours as there will be rotating duty roster across weekday evenings and/or weekends to support sports events. Where applicable, appropriate time off will be given.
