Job Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will be responsible for managing public relations programs, handling public feedback, and ensuring effective communication between the project team and the community. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and the public throughout the construction project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support public relation programs aligned with the master work programm to achieve project goals.
• Manage public feedback and complaints tactfully, providing full support on press and public relations matters.
• Prepare and distribute advance notices and regular updates to the public through approved publicity materials (e.g., pamphlets, letters, announcements).
• Plan and organize outreach and engagement activities with residents, occupiers, and stakeholders affected by construction works.
• Attend meetings with the project team on public relation matters as required.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on public feedback, complaints, and actions taken.
• Coordinate defect inspections and follow-up actions in response to stakeholder concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of feedback cases and ensure timely closure.
• Conduct site inspections and handle public concerns and issues on-site.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the public and stakeholders during all stages of the project.
• Perform other public relations tasks or duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE A Level or Diploma in a relevant discipline, with at least 3 years of working experience as a Public Relations Officer in the construction industry.
• Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong sense of responsibility and a good team player.
• Prior experience in the building construction industry (HBD/BTO/...) will be an advantage.
