• Design, specify and cost detailed Network and Infra solutions, including:
  • Interpreting requirements and producing fully detailed and compliant designs
  • Interfacing with customer engineers for design definition
  • Interfacing with other system-wide designers for service definition
  • Interfacing with suppliers and vendors for product definition
  • Evaluating and costing the most suitable products and systems
• During site implementation, testing and commissioning the Network
  • Able to lead test engineers to deliver testing activities against stringent timescales
• Keep track of progress of all design and interface tasks
  • Carrying out assigned work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Expediting response and deliverables (documents, engineering drawings, specifications, design reports and calculations, equipment details and other project information)

• Professional knowledge and experience in network detailed design and implementations
  • Technologies including SDH, SR-MPLS, MPLS-TP, IP, IP/MPLS, Ethernet
  • Cable network design (fibre, copper, structured cabling)
  • 4G/5G/WiFi network design
  • Infra design (Virtualisation, VMWare, Windows, Linux, IT services)
  • Cybersecurity implementation (hardening, firewall, antivirus)
  • Scripting for automation/generation of configurations
  • Issue analysis (Wireshark)
  • Network detail design, administration, troubleshooting, capacity optimization
  • Network security design and implementation
• Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness in solving problems
• Analytical in design activities with ability to use pertinent data for meticulous recommendations
• Makes timely and well-considered technical decisions, independently and collaboratively
• Qualifications (Academic, Professional)
• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications Engineering
• Professional qualifications (preferred): CCNA, CCNP, CCDA; HCIA/HCIP; or other vendor certifications (e.g., Juniper JNCIE)
