OverviewThis is a large and established integrated energy trading company, with a vast business network and history within the region. Due to internal mobility, there is now a rare and exciting opportunity for a high calibre A newly created opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Middle Office & Risk Head to lead the middle office and market risk function.

RoleReporting to the Chief Risk Office, the Head of Middle Office will lead a team of high performing analysts and play an integral role in managing the daily trading P&L and exposures analysis across multi-commodities. As part of continuous business improvement efforts, the Manager will lead and drive projects pertaining to middle office transformation and enhancement. Along with the team of risk analysts, the Head will also ensure that the curves are reasonably marked and monitor VAR limits. This is a highly visible opportunity as the lead will also work very closely with the leadership team, along with cross- functional interactions with the traders, operations, credit risk, trade finance, and accounting.

RequirementsThe successful candidate will be degree qualified with minimum 10 years' experience in middle office and commodity trading. You possess an excellent understanding of physical commodities and financial markets, valuation, derivative instruments for hedging purposes. Candidates with prior experience in ETRM/ CTRM systems implementation will have a distinct advantage. You will also be described as someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, instrumental in dealing with a diverse group of stakeholders.
