We are looking for candidates within the 5 –10 years of experience range. Someone who has handled corporate and commercial legal matters and dealt with Japanese language communications specifically within either a multinational corporation or a private practice law firm.

Who are we looking for?

Currently, there is an increase in demand for Singapore-based lawyers with extensive maritime law experiences. We are on the look-out for legally trained individuals with the following attributes and requirements:

• 5 to 10 years PQE in a mix of in-house and private practice legal roles.
• Called to a Common Law or Japanese Bar.
• Strong Japanese language proficiency (JLPT 2+) is desirable for dealing with Japan based stakeholders.
• Experience in drafting and reviewing a wide range of corporate commercial contracts.
• Prior experiences working in Japan or Japanese multinational corporations / law firms are an added advantage.
• Be commercially minded, have the ability to hit the ground running and manage relationships with all levels of a business.
• Be available to commence at a short notice.
• Have a hands-on, adaptable approach.
