IT Operations Engineer

$80,000-$90,000 USD

Hybrid, Singapore

We are seeking a hands-on, highly proactive IT Operations Associate to build and own technology operations for a FinTech Blockchain company in Singapore. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to shape and scale IT operations from the ground up in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

This is a high-impact, roll-up-your-sleeves role where you will support internal users while also working closely with engineering and infrastructure teams across cloud, application, and platform operations.

You will be responsible for establishing scalable workflows, improving system reliability, and ensuring uptime, access, and responsiveness across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Operations

• Support and evolve AWS-based infrastructure, including monitoring, logging, and operational tooling
• Work with engineering teams on production systems running in AWS.
• Assist with containerised environments using Kubernetes / EKS
• Support monitoring, alerting, and incident response workflows
• Assist with IAM administration, access controls, and cost monitoring
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure operational readiness of services

Application & Platform Support

• Provide support across internal systems and production applications
• Work with backend services built in Java
• Support troubleshooting across application, infrastructure, and database layers
• Work with PostgreSQL for basic operational and performance support

IT Operations & User Support

• Act as first-line support for internal users (hardware, SaaS tools, access issues, communication platforms)
• Own onboarding and offboarding processes including access provisioning and de-provisioning
• Maintain asset inventory and endpoint lifecycle management
• Build documentation, SOPs, and self-service knowledge bases

Process & Automation

• Help design and improve IT operations workflows and incident management processes
• Contribute to automation and scripting initiatives (where applicable, including Java-based tooling or services support)
• Continuously improve operational maturity in a scaling environment

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Support, DevOps, or Systems Support
• Hands-on experience in AWS environments
• Exposure to Java-based systems or backend application support
• Experience with Kubernetes / EKS environments
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Experience supporting internal users and production systems
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and incident management tools
• Experience working in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments preferred
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin (mandatory)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
