We are currently supporting a leading international maritime company in the search for a Fleet Efficiency Engineer to join their technical and sustainability team.
Working closely with technical, commercial, and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in analysing vessel performance data, identifying fuel-saving opportunities, supporting environmental initiatives, and driving continuous improvements in fleet efficiency.
The role:
- Monitor fleet performance, fuel consumption, and emissions data, ensuring reporting remains accurate, timely, and actionable.
- Analyse vessel performance trends and identify opportunities to improve fuel efficiency and environmental performance.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives across the fleet.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of performance improvement measures and provide recommendations for further optimisation.
- Work closely with technical, commercial, and operations teams to support bunker-saving and performance improvement programmes.
- Monitor key technical performance areas including hull and propeller condition, engine performance, and energy conservation measures.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and performance insights to support management decision-making.
- Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure performance initiatives are effectively communicated and delivered.
- Support safe, efficient, and commercially focused voyage execution through performance analysis and operational support.
- Participate in wider sustainability, performance, and business improvement projects as required.
What are we looking for?
- Marine Engineer Class 1 or Class 2 Certificate of Competency will be held in high regard.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within vessel performance, energy efficiency, emissions monitoring, or a related technical marine function.
- Strong understanding of fuel efficiency, vessel performance management, and decarbonisation initiatives within the shipping industry.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical, commercial, and operational teams.
