Financial Modelling Analyst - Public Equities - Remote

Role overview

  • Remote financial modelling role for a London-based public equities investment firm.
  • We invest in a concentrated portfolio of listed companies using a private-equity-style approach: deep fundamental research, long-term ownership, and a small number of high-conviction investments.
  • The role is to support the portfolio manager by building and updating three-statement financial models and valuation models for listed companies.

Ideal candidate

  • Investment Banking Analyst / Senior Analyst with 2–4 years of experience.
  • The role is suited to someone highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Build and update three-statement models for listed companies.
  • Prepare DCFs, trading comps, sensitivity analysis, and valuation outputs.
  • Maintain clean, auditable, well-structured Excel files.
  • Document key assumptions clearly inside the model.
  • Analyse reported financials, including revenue growth, margins, working capital, leverage, liquidity, and free cash flow.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience as an Investment Banking Analyst / Senior Analyst.
  • Strong Excel financial modelling skills.
  • Experience building full three-statement operating models.
  • Experience with DCFs, trading comps, and public-company financials.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good written English and clear communication.
  • An accounting qualification is helpful, but not required.

Structure

  • Initial 3–6 month contract, with the expectation of converting to a full-time position if there is a strong fit. We can be flexible depending on the candidate.
  • The role is fully remote.
