FFA, Data and Events Manager - Singapore

A leading global maritime data and services provider, with a strong presence in international shipping markets, is seeking an experienced, dynamic sales professional following expansion in their Asia Pacific operations.

The role will focus on establishing, promoting, and expanding relationships with members, data subscribers, and commercial users across the Asia Pacific region. It is a commercially focused position, promoting freight derivatives and market data solutions in physical contracts and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales:

Promote freight derivative products and explore market data solutions across the Asia Pacific region. Collaborate with regional exchanges to develop new products, handle client queries, and increase membership subscriptions in the region.

Events & Marketing:

Confidently speak at industry conferences and events to promote services, develop collaborations with relevant organizations, create promotional materials, and organize key events, seminars, and conferences.

Client Management:

Build strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring they understand the full range of services offered. Complete monthly reporting on sales and marketing activities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Essential experience in derivatives, particularly FFAs, with a background in trading or broking within the maritime sector.
• Proven sales record with strong knowledge of maritime and commodity markets.
• Established networks and contacts across Asia regions.
• Understanding of market data and indices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience speaking at industry events, participating in panels, and organizing forums and events.
• Strong project management capabilities.
